53: 1ST LT. FAUCETT MARINE AIR WING UNIFORM, HELMET, MEDALS

Woodfin 'Woody' E. Faucett, 1st Lt., 1st Marine Air Wing, USMC, Pacific Theatre.

Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941 following Pearl Harbor. Following flight school, he was commissioned as 2nd Lt. USMC in 1944. He saw action in the South Pacific while flying the F4U Corsair. He left active military service as a Captain on 1 December 1951. Service Uniform consisting of Tunic with all insignia, three place ribbon bar, Pilot Wings, shooting badge, Collar and rank insignia, belt, shirt, tie, pants, visor cap; Navy Academy framed photo; Framed Portrait photo in summer uniform; CPT Flight Rating Book -- Elementary; CPT Flight Rating Book -- Secondary; A-9 Flight Helmet with ear pads and goggles; Post WWII Leather jacket; Bio Plaque; Silk Current map.
