25: COL. PERSHING TOUSLEY, LEGION OF MERIT RECIPIENT GROUP

Colonel Pershing Tousley, Pacific Theatre. Pershing Tousley, namesake of Gen. John J. 'Blackjack' Pershing, enlisted in the Signal Corps in 1941. Following OCS, he was commissioned 2nd Lt. with assignment to the Philippines. When the war ended, he remained on active duty, retiring in 1973. He earned the Legion of Merit, Army Commendation, American Campaign, A-P Campaign and others. Col. Pershing Tousley (1919-2006).
