268: MSG MERLE J. TREVOLT GROUPING MEDALS, BARS, INSIGNIA

Master Sergeant (1st Sgt.) Merle J. Trevolt, 86th Infantry Division, Asiatic-Pacific and European Threatres. Riker mount contains: 86th Infantry Division SSI, AF SSI, Good Conduct Medal with ribbon, six place ribbons, name tag and discharge pin. Merle enlisted in Company C, 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division NG in 1938 and was inducted into the Active Army in 1940. He saw overseas duty in both theatres, earning the Bronze Star in Europe and was discharged in 1945. He reenlisted in the Air Force in 1947 where he participated in the Berlin Air Lift. He remained in the Air Force until 1963, earning additional awards.
