181: PFC. RICHARD S. HAGY USMC UNIFORM 9TH MARINE BATTALION

Private First Class Richard S. Hagy, USMCR, 9th Marine Defense Battalion, Pacific Theatre. He enlisted 1 December 1942. Following basic training, he went overseas in April 1943 where he joined the 9th Marine Defense Battalion. He served with a 90mm AA group and searchlight group until the end of the war. He saw action at New Georgia, Arundel Island and Guam. Awards consist of Navy Citation, American and A-P Camp.
