191: A 1949 NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM ADVERTISING POSTER

The two-color advertising poster for New York Central System's coach 'The James Whitcomb Riley,' bears the printed signature for illustrator Vernon Howe Bailey (1874-1953). Apparently the condition is very good, noting some light toning and stains. This work has not been examined outside the frame.

Plus a 1921 advertising calendar for the New York Central Lines railroad titled 'Ninety Years Ago and Today,' the 1922 printed calendar would have initially been covered by the 1921 date pad. Good condition, noting no 1921 calendar pad, scattered creases and stains.
Overall framed size measures 31.25 x 21.5 and 39 x 25.75 inches.
Please see condition in the description.
