Ensign J.J. Strick, USNR, Patrol Bombing Squadron 131, Aleutian Islands.

Mannequin #1 - Aviation uniform consisting of tunic with three place ribbon bar, pilot wings, shirt with rank insignia, garrison cap with rank and Navy insignia, tie.

Mannequin #2 - USN two piece winter flight suit, jacket and trousers; flight boots, flight helmet with Wilson pilot goggles with blue lenses and original box, USN whistle with lanyard, blue survival flashlight, shirt with rank insignia. USN leather gloves, Riker mount with his ribbons, ranks and buttons, cased Air Medal. Qualification document for Naval Aviation, Patrol Bombing Squadron 131 photo collage showing him and crew, large black and white photo of him, garrison cap with insignia. He received his flight training at Pensacola Naval Air Station. Following graduation from flight school 21 March 1944, he was commissioned as an Ensign. He saw action in the Aleutian Islands while flying the Ventura B4 bomber. He earned the Air Medal plus others. Leather name patch (on pants) shows name ENS. J. J. Strick.
