272: SGT ROY AHRING USAAF MEDAL AND INSIGNIA GROUPING

Sgt. LeRoy H. Ahring, 391st Bombardment Group (L), 9th USAAF. Good Conduct Medal, ETO with six stars, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal. LeRoy Ahring enlisted on 9 December 1943, entering active duty on 23 July 1943. He was trained as a cryptographic photographer, then assigned to the 9th USAAF in England serving as a radar mechanic in B-26 bombers. At the time of his discharge October 1945, he was assigned to the 575th Bombardment Squadron.
