69: A 19TH C. AMERICAN DOME TOP STORAGE CHEST OLD RED STAIN

The smaller-than-a-blanket-chest example of dovetailed construction both case and lid, old red stain throughout, the dome top formed from three wood pegged boards, the center board lapping the two outer, both original forged hinges in original position and with rose head nails, original twisted and formed iron handles, apparently the original lock with sheet iron diamonds shape escutcheon.
Measures 14 x 25 x 13.25 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges, splits, bumps, the effects of age and use.
