256: A C.W. PARKER RAMPANT GOAT WITH KNOCKDOWN RIDER TARGET

The cast iron figure of a long-haired billy goat with circus blanket and clown rider hinged at the waist. A direct hit would knock the clown back, causing it to disappear. Few examples of this target are known to exist, Marked 'Made by CW Parker, Abilene KAS, this form was used in a number of Parker gallery configurations, including Gallery No. 4 on page 4 of Parker's Catalog of Shooting Galleries, Gallery No. 20 on page 12 and on Model No. 6 on page 8 and Model No. 7 on page 23.
