5: A 19TH CENTURY DECORATED MUSTARD PAINT APOTHECARY CHEST

A large painted twenty-four drawer apothecary chest, the drawer face of each centered by a black turned wood knob and hand painted banner naming the respective spice, compound, seed or dye, original unfinished sides and back, square nail construction.
Measures 57 x 46 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair with the exception of three chipped handles and one replacement handle, all original, dry surface with alligatoring, darkening and other effects of age and exposure.
