38: AN AMERICAN CLASSIC FOLK ART BARBER'S BOX CIRCA 1920s

Tony the Barber's traveling shave kit box made by hand employing some found hardware, the upright form with hinged top and front, all four sides and top outlined by incised chip carved border, the front panel is centered by a 'beauty' with black hair and uplifted blue dress flanked by painted barber poles in relief, the ends display a painted barber's mug lettered TONY and painted shaving brush, the back panel lettered TONY in bas relief.
Measures 10.5 x 12.5 x 5.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
