266: C. W. PARKER RIDERS ON MULE SHOOTING GALLERY TARGET

The 'Mule with Riders' figural iron knockdown shooting gallery target actually looks more like a circus donkey wearing blanket, the two riders hinged at the waist fall backwards when struck, the figure is depicted with the rider's legs cast integrally and in detail, great cratered surface from many lead bullet strikes, rare traces of green, yellow, red, black and brown paint, signed back side in the casting 'Manufactured C.W. Parker Abilene, Kansas', Charles W. Parker moved his operations to Leavenworth, Kansas in 1910. Illustrated in Parker's Catalog of Shooting Galleries, Model No. 6 on page 8 and Model No. 7 on page 23.

Measures 11 x 13 inches, excluding stand.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, two replacement bolts, matchless surface created by time and lead bullet strikes.
