238: A FIGURAL IRON ROOSTER SPINNER SHOOTING GALLERY TARGET

The early 20th century target in old park paint attributed to William Wurfflein based on construction, bracing and similarity of form to other spinners attributed to Wurfflein. To date, no other examples of this particular target have been seen.

Pictured on page 89 of Step Right Up! Classic American Target and Arcade Forms (Figure 6.23), note the similarity of this to the rooster in Figure 3.12. This is the only example the Tuckers have seen or heard of in their 30 years of collecting.
Measures 9.25 x 3.5 inches, excluding stand.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
