93: A GOOD EARLY 19TH C. BENTWOOD CANTEEN IN FINE OLD PAINT

The circular container constructed using iron tacks and striking forged rose-head nails, a great untouched example with the original blue/green paint bearing nice patina, circa War of 1812.
Measures 3.25 x 7.5 inches.
Very, very good condition original throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear, toned surface overall, some unevenness, four digit red enamel inventory number near one edge.
