143: A RARE EARLY SWINGING ACROBAT TARGET ATTR C.W. PARKER

The very early iron silhouette form of an acrobat with hands overhead, probably by CW Parker of Abilene and Leavenworth, KS, one of only two known examples, Parker catalogs illustrate this form, both as a spinner target and as a ball rack knockdown as illustrated in Parker's Catalog of Shooting Galleries on pages 7 and 24 and 'revolving motion' figure in Galleries 10 and 28 on page 49 in Ball Rack No. 66.

Pictured on page 82 of Sellers' book (Figure 6.7) where it is described as being by an unknown maker.
Displayed on custom iron stand.
Measures 7 x 5.5 inches excluding stand.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, great surface created by the old, perhaps original paint with oxidation having been pelted time and again to create a surface like no other.
