204: A RARE AND WELL-FORMED IRON ELEPHANT TARGET FIGURE

The unusual figure of an elephant cast iron shooting gallery knockdown target by Emil Hoffmann or F.C. Mueller of Chicago. The Hoffmann and Mueller catalogs illustrate the elephant as part number 34. It is possible that Smith also made a similar elephant listed as part number 34.

Pictured on pages and 71 of Sellers' book (Figure 5.15).
Displayed on custom iron stand.
Measures 6 x 5 inches, excluding stand.
Very good shooting gallery condition with traces of old park paint and good shot-peened surface.
