251: A RARE ANIMATED C.W. PARKER SHOOTING GALLERY TARGET

The curious running boar target figure with fedora-wearing gentleman aboard - facing backwards. Hinged and spring-loaded, the gentleman pops back into place when struck. This is the rarer of two running boar targets made by C.W. Parker. The other example is without the leg detail and the hat is a different style. The rarity of this target is boosted by its outstanding dry surface with original paint. The figure is intact with the original mounting bracket (break) and signed in embossed letters back side 'Manuf' by CW Parker Abilene Kansas 12.' Pictured in Parker's Catalog of Shooting Galleries, Model No. 6 on page 8 and Model No. 7 on page 23.
