108: AN OUTSTANDING LARGE FOLK ART IRON HORSE WEATHER VANE

The sheet iron silhouette of a spirited stallion on directional arrow over five feet long with crisp sawtooth fletching at back end, forged rivet construction and authentic wear at the fitting pivot points. Removed from a Michigan barn in the late 20th century and later purchased from Harvey Pranian.
Measures 40.5 x 63.5 x 2 inches.
Very good condition with unimpeachable patina and outstanding orange peel-like natural pebbled surface, one old reinforcement under the horses back leg.
