236: A 19TH C. BENTWOOD BOX WITH HANDLE IN OLD BURNT UMBER

The circular box in old burnt umber paint over layers of red and green paint, unusual bentwood bail handle joined with a wood peg through applied wood shim, constructed with tacked straight seam and wood pegs.
Measures 6.5 x 12.5 x 12.5 inches.
Very good to good condition range, noting a split in the lid, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear and very minor losses overall.
