14: A SLIGHTLY EERIE HAND PAINTED OPTOMETRIST TRADE SIGN

The large tin spectacles molded in two halves joined down the middle to simulate large eye glasses displaying an interesting folk art rendition of human eyes with detailed blue iris and exuberant eyelash brushstrokes on white with subtle shading for a striking effect, human eyes without a face like in The Great Gatsby, circa early 20th century.
Measures 11.5 x 38.5 x 2.25 inches.
Very good original condition, reinforcement or possible repair at one joint of nose bridge and spectacle, no other repair, no repaint, no damage or dented areas, paint loss as shown.
