239: AN AMERICAN SPLINT BURDEN BASKET IN OLD BLUE PAINT

The upright oval, somewhat bombe' in form, flat back side with strap openings near the top rim, rounded front, interesting construction, good old blue milk paint.
Measures 11.5 x 12 x 8 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, darkening of splint and potential effects of dampness along the base, sturdy and intact there and elsewhere.
