8: A 19TH C. OVOID JUG WITH ETCHED BIRD SIGNED S.S. PERRY

The classic and graceful ovoid form New York stoneware jug with strap handle and even overall ground displaying a refined bird figure etched on the shoulder and embellished in cobalt blue slip, a nice example with stamped lettering of S.S PERRY/TROY.
Measures 17.5 x inches.
Very good condition, noting a flaw at the mouth and firing lines at the handle. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
