14: A 19TH C. AMERICAN OVOID FORM STONEWARE STORAGE JAR

The early 19th century stoneware jar with canted collar flanked by two lug handles above the beautifully formed ovoid body fortuitously shaded in two colors by the firing process, cobalt slip flourish at the impressed numeral 3 and each lug handle.
Measures 14 x 10 inches.
Very good condition, noting a small chip or flaw at the vase. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs.
