106: A LATE 19TH C. GERMAN SINGING BIRD AUTOMATON MUSIC BOX

A wind-up singing automaton bird music box decorated on all sides- top and bottom with embossed rococo swirls, lady's heads, love birds and serpents; the feet fronted by caryatid figures among scrolls and acanthus on the foot, the bird revolves and sings over a pierced stage. Marked with stamp of EB in a circle and attributed to Karl Griesbaum, silver plated. Measures 3.25 x 4.25 x 2.75 inches.
Very good working condition with full song and motion. The bird rises, sings, turns, opens and closes beak and returns to the space below. No wear, damage or repair.
