16: A NICE LARGE 19TH C. SAN ILDEFONSO PUEBLO POTTERY JAR

(1890 - 1900)
The slightly rolled top rim over a somewhat concave neck with black and red foliate designs on buff slip blending into the pronounced swollen middle body with hearts and dividers in red and black above a sharply tapering base section, the distinctive band of darker red slip at the top of the lower red section, thin base rim and pronounced concave base.
Measures 10 x 13 inches.
Very good condition, noting typical irregularities and very, very minor soiling. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
