52: AN OPTOMETRIST TRADE SIGN WITH SPRING TENSION DETAIL

The large, hollow, pressed tin spectacles molded in two halves joined down the middle simulate large eye glasses with a detailed nose piece with spring-mounted tensioners for each eye piece and displaying an interesting folk art rendition of human eyes with detailed blue iris and exuberant eyelash brushstrokes on white with subtle shading for a striking effect: human eyes without a face like in The Great Gatsby, 20th century.
Measures 12 x 36 x 5.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting the frames appear to be repainted, there are no issues of damage, repair or heavy wear. There is a quarter-size area of paint loss as shown in the images.
