The Dresden model china blank with rare figurative decoration of frolicking cherubs with insects and child-like courting couples in 18th century dress, an unusually ornate embossed brass double-sunk dial with domed numerals in black enamel, exposed escapement, time and strike movement signed Ansonia Clock Co with patent date of 1882.
Measures 12 x 13.5 x 4.5 inches.
Good condition, noting a vertical hairline back side at one foot and horizontal crack front side at one foot, there are no chips, other cracks, repairs. Very good intact running condition at the time of inspection. We cannot guarantee the running or timekeeping condition of timepieces once removed from the auction premises.
