662: A GILBERT 411 ELABORATE CHINA CASE CLOCK WITH LIONS

The large china shelf clock with opposing herm-like figures of lion heads on scroll work body shaded in a berry red with floral decoration embellished by a small pastoral vignette on the ornate case with down swept form on cushion feet, the gilded embossed brass dial with openwork chapter ring displaying Arabic numerals on paper inserts, signed on the time and strike movement.
Measures 11 x 11.5 x 5 inches.
