621: A NICE LATE 19TH CENTURY TWO WEIGHT VIENNA REGULATOR

The ornate crown with carved shell and scrolls over faux burl panel upon the case with molded crown over brackets more faux burl and the door with fluted half-columns, the weight driven time and strike movement fronted by a porcelain enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, nice back board with inset panel, the lower bracket with burl-like portion, highly figured veneers and beehive drop finials.
Measures 48 x 16 x 6.75 inches.
Very good condition overall, noting only an age split to the door, There are no chips, cracks, repairs in the porcelain enamel dial (light surface wear to some numerals), fine old even finish and color, probably the original, original glass. Very good intact running condition at the time of inspection. We cannot guarantee the running or timekeeping condition of timepieces once removed from the auction premises.
