307: A 19TH CENTURY KUBA CAUCASIAN RUG CIRCA 1880

The blue field with an all over design displaying off set rows of complex stepped and hooked star-filled medallions within a blue border enclosing continuous star medallions, ochre guard borders, reciprocal trefoil outer border.
Measures 53 x 42. 50 inches.
Considerable loss at each end resulting in absence of two guard borders either end, even low pile but for areas of foundation showing through, dry, dusty and unwashed, no odor.
