The classic early 19th century New York storage jar with tooled rim over lug handles centered by stamped mark and numeral 2 in fern wreath below two incised lines over a freehand floral design - plus the silhouette of a man with large nose under the proper right lug handle, stamped MORTON & SHELDON JORDAN embellished in blue slip.
Measures 11h x 10 inches.
Good condition, noting a series of chips and divots around the top edge. There are no other chips, no cracks or repair.
