129: ROCK ISLAND PASSENGER SERVICE ADVERTISING PIECE C. 1890

A clever advertising placard, probably the inside of a book cover, pictures a Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway passenger car at a steep angle along with graphics and information touting comfortable service to all points in the new Horton Reclining Chairs, circa 1888 or earlier. The back side advertises The Parker & Tilton Art Exhibit Of Fashion, circa 1888.
Sight size is 12 x 9.25, measures overall 16.25 x 13.25 inches.
Good condition, noting tears at the upper edge repaired with cellophane tape.
