40: A WM WESTLAKE'S PATENT PRESENTATION LANTERN CIRCA 1870

The nickel-plated brass lantern frame with hoop-form bail handle, thick extended lip globe with hand engraved inscription of M.C. Davis, brass top burner, stamped maker's mark on the underside of the base with latest patent date of April 186?.
Very good original condition, noting roughness to the top and bottom rims of the globe, plus a chip, nice strong nickel without wear, damage or repair.
