Benton comments in Creekmore Fath's catalog that this composition is based upon a childhood memory of events experienced by a neighbor of ''Pappy Wise'', his grandfather from Waxahachie, Texas.
Image measures 8.5 x 13.25 with a framed size of 17.25 x 21.75 inches.
Very good to fine condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, stain, puncture or repair; framed to archival standards in acid free mounts.
