28: NEOCLASSICAL KLISMOS CHAIRS IN ORIGINAL PAINT C. 1900

The neoclassical style arm and side chairs with wide, deeply concave crest rail decorated with scrolling acanthus on red ground, the leather seat secured by brass tacks raised on opposing sabre legs with original metal caps in ochre paint at the top of each leg.
Measures 34 x 21 x 22 inches, seat height 28.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges and loss of covering as shown.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
