52: A NATIVE AMERICAN TRANSITIONAL WEAVING SANS LAZY LINES

The design is comprised primarily of red 'horizontal' bands centered by a thin stripe of yellow. In two cases, this nice yellow is paired with a near black though this occurs on only one end of the weaving. On this same end, two of the red bands have a stripe of this same dark wool in lieu of the soft yellow, all are floating on a field of flecked natural wool. The weaving technique was not executed using lazy lines. Measures 71 x 48 inches.
Very good condition noting the appearance of repairs in small areas (2-inch to 3-inch) in a few intermittent spots along the edges. The edge finish may have be later. Very good condition overall, no mothing or insect damage and free from stain, damage or other restoration.
