67: A RARE AND DESIRABLE STEIFF ZEBRA ON WHEELS CIRCA 1915

The rare plush woolen figure with a cute, colt-like demeanor punctuated by its black shoe button eyes and uniquely woven muzzle, the quaintly proportioned body decorated in hand-painted charcoal-colored stripes, tousled brown and white wool yarn mane, black mohair tipped tail, the original cast iron spoke wheels bearing traces of original gold paint, maker's button in the proper left ear.
Measures 10.75 x 12.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear, with the exception of an old seam repair under the chest.
