79: A SMALL 19TH C. SHIP DIORAMA WITH SLOOP AND LIGHTHOUSE

The folk art shadowbox diorama with green sculpted plaster sea capped with white waves, red boat trimmed in black with yellow depicted off coastal waters with a lighthouse against a grey-blue diorama background dotted with birds in flight, in the proper left corner is a rounded light house. The diorama shadowbox is constructed with canted sides and joined corners reminiscent of a 19th century cutlery tray painted black and converted to diorama with thin molding framing the glass front.
Measures 11.25 x 14.75 x 2.75 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges.
