The cylindrical brass casing with cut-outs revealing the one-piece blown glass vial containing sand.

Plus a blown glass vial containing black sand held in a mahogany frame with circular top and bottom discs joined by four turned spindles, one end stenciled THIS END UP in black.
Measures 3.75 x 1.75 and 5 x 3 inches.
Very good original condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
