Fred Shane is arguably the quintessential Missouri regionalist. His works mostly focused on rural Midwest genre subjects (and some Colorado scenes), he was a muralist, he taught at the university level for decades, he was a prolific printmaker and his style was outwardly informal while fundamentally well-composed.
Canvas measures 32 x 26 and overall measures 41 x 34.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, the canvas is somewhat loose.
