The Louis XIV style influence silver box with hinged lid and painted miniature after the painting of Napoleon at the Battle of Friedland painted by Horace Vernet in 1807. Hallmarked inside as shown, maker's mark for J.D. Schleissner & Sohne, marked .800 silver.
Measures 1.75 x 4.5 x 4.75 inches.
Fair to good condition, the lid is slightly sprung and moisture has affected the extreme edge areas of the painting no other issues no damage or repair.
