29: A ROTACH AND BENNET 20TH CENTURY LEADED LAMP SHADE

The jewel-tone and slag glass shade with glass cabochons and spear-head shape confetti glass highlights was designed by Marlin Rotach and built by Chris Bennett. It sits nicely on a contemporary art pottery base of organic design and is signed on the inside of the leaded edge.

Marlin Rotach is a well-known and highly accomplished Kansas City watercolorist (see lot 30 in this catalog). Chris Bennett, also from the Kansas City area, is, in addition to being a skilled craftsman, a passionate collector of fine art and art objects from various cultures.
Measures 20.5 x 17 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
