79: A CARVED MAHOGANY FIRST EMPIRE PERIOD SOFA

The highly carved mahogany frame with some veneers including shaped and acanthus carved backrest, S-curve acanthus arms, half-round seat rail with inlaid flame grain block at either end, legs with acanthus, crosshatching and fruit ending in hairy paw feet front and back.
Measures 33.5 x 91 x 27 with seat height of 19.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting a large chip to a back foot, no damage or repair. clean and odor free.
