131: A GEORGE I STERLING SILVER WARWICK TYPE CRUET SET

The configuration of two oil bottles, two pepper pots and a sugar caster known as a 'Warwick Cruet', is fitted to a scroll detailed frame raised on four cast shell design feet. The frame is fully stamped on the base, the central handle is stamped with lion passant in two places, neither of the caps on the cut glass bottles has a legible stamp, each piece of hollow ware bears lion passant, date mark and maker's mark under the foot in what appears to be cast markings rather than stamps, each cover bears lion passant and maker's mark. Additional images with hallmarks will be added.
Measures 9.75 x 8 inches overall. Sugar caster measures approximately 7 inches and 8.57 ozt, pepper pots 3.79 ozt and 4.2 ozt at 6 inches each, the frame weighs 30 ozt. Total silver weight 46.5 ozt.
Very good condition, noting chipping to the bottles, there are no issues of damage or repair, the oval may have later solder.
