The floor standing cast iron Bell Boy ash receiver stand with brass tray, cigarette holder and matchbox stand may be based on Johnny Roventini, the real life popularly as Johnny Philip Morris, the 'living trademark' for Phillip Morris cigarettes. The Bell Boy advertising campaign for Phillip Morris began during WWI, Johnny was discovered in 1933. It's difficult to say which came first, this iron depiction or the real Johnny. As a point of trivia, as a fully grown adult, Johnny Philip Morris measured 47 inches tall and weighed 59 pounds.
Measures 35 x 9 x 7.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, the surface displays the effects of exposure on the original paint, light wear on some high points.
