60: A CARVED AND INLAID 16TH C. STYLE COURT CUPBOARD

An Elizabethan style oak court cupboard with carved frieze over the top cabinet and bulbous carved posts each side, two central carved pilasters: the left being a male figure with drape and the right being a native with headdress,  the doors with carved and inlaid decoration of  holly wood and ebony. Circa 1920s. Measures 73 x 62 x 21 inches. Provenance: the Post Foundation Art Library. Purchased from Lammert's in St. Louis, Missouri in 1934.  We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Good condition as shown noting some effects of age and use as expected in that there are split and misshapen wood issues and scattered minor repairs.
