83: A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD IMARI PORCELAIN FLOOR VASE

A late 19th century Japanese Imari ware porcelain vase, Meiji era, with painting in underglaze blue of a large hawk and small birds flying over waves on two sides, and a lush landscape on the other two, surrounded by large designs of peonies. Lappets above and below with abstracted floral designs. Unmarked. Measures 37 x 18 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or heavy wear. Under the base there is a factory chip with glaze inside the bottom rim.
