135: A 19TH C. BRONZE MOUNT SEVRES-TYPE PORCELAIN INK STAND

A navette shape footed bronze frame with a Sevres-type porcelain insert of conforming shape having bolted inkwell and center receptacle and an additional cup, perhaps a sander; the porcelain decorated with allegoricals of knowledge and literature surrounded by sky blue ground with white dots in reverse silhouette. Measures 5.75 x 15.5 x 7 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Only one of the three porcelain receptacles is without repair. Otherwise very good free from chips, cracks or further repair.
