234: A 19TH C. TRANSITIONAL BRONZE MOUNTED PARQUETRY COMMODE

A gilt bronze mounted parquetry commode, rectangular grey marble top of breakfront form above two long drawers inlaid sans traverse with parquetry, between chamfered stiles with inlaid fluting, the sides with bookmatched inlaid panels, and raised on angled cabriole legs. Fitted with brass laurel pulls and ribband escutcheons. Measures 36 x 45 x 19 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Some veneer loss just under the marble top overhang, other wise very good complete original condition.
