243: 19TH C. MARBLE BUST OF A GLADIATOR WITH BRONZE ELEMENTS

The carved marble bust of a gladiator with bronze sword hilt and handle, bronze bird and lion's head mounts on the helmet. Signed 'gallet' back side. Measures 23 x 17 inches. There is restoration to the helmet. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Glazed and discolored overall, a repair to the proper left side of the helmet, minor nicks and abrasions.
